Creative Writing is designed for native English-speaking children aged 8 to 11 who can read and write with confidence.
Students are introduced to a variety of writing styles, with plenty of opportunities for practice. They will explore creative storytelling, developing engaging narratives and characters.
In addition, they will write letters, instructions, and factual information, enhancing their ability to communicate across different formats. Reading comprehension skills are strengthened through thoughtful analysis, while poetry exercises encourage imaginative expression.
Through fun, interactive lessons, children build confidence in their writing abilities, learning to express their ideas clearly, creatively, and effectively.
Grammar, spelling, and punctuation are consistently revisited and reinforced throughout the course to ensure a strong foundation.
Special focus is given to the key differences between English and German, such as the distinct vowel sounds in each language and the rules surrounding the use of capital letters.
The academic work is carefully balanced with engaging and entertaining word games and fun activities. These include playful tasks like matching answers to jokes, lively class quizzes, friendly competitions, and interactive plays that encourage creativity and collaboration. These activities not only reinforce learning but also keep children excited and motivated to participate in the lessons.
Children can attend Creative Writing up to 3 years, progressing through different levels of skill and creativity. Over time, children will refine their ability to express ideas clearly, develop their personal style. By the end, they’ll have a strong foundation in both creative and structured writing, setting them up for future success and a lasting love of writing.
